Living in Joy in an often Joyless World
Comments by Sue Hodson - 31 Jan 2006

All of these inspiring posts help me to feel that I am not alone in feeling despondent sometimes (well, often) about the lack of compassion for animals in our churches.

I feel I would like to do more in my church, but don't know what. I speak out to people about vegetarianism when I can, although I think I'm probably the only veggie there, but good news is that my priest is interested in eating more veggie food and asked me for info, so I gave him HGC and Christianity and Vegetarianism as well as Viva! leaflet. He wants to do it for health reasons, but at least he wants to do it. When I am reading at Mass or doing teas afterwards I wear CVA or another veg T-shirt. Only a couple of people have commented, and not in a particularly positive way, but who knows, it might make them think.

Thank you all for being there.

SueH
