Dear Deborah:
Thank you for writing.
We completely understand your frustration with the human race, as a whole, but for the sake of your comments, we'd like to narrow your focus to look at individuals.
As an example, most vegans came to that stage of their lives from a time when they ate animals and thus were responsible for the animals horrible suffering and death. Something happened to many of these people and they became ethically committed to ending the suffering they had previous contributed to. In essence, they repented of the evil ways, and sought to live at peace with the whole of creation.
Forgiveness is something that is really only to be given to someone who has truly repented and does everything in their power to end their former evil ways. We don't really believe that you mean that you couldn't forgive such a person. Are we correct? And if we are correct, then you are capable of forgiveness.
We hope this helps, and look forward to hearing from you again.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
