Dear Barb:

We have heard it said that there is nothing to fear but fear itself, and John tells us that perfect love casts out fear. So, perhaps this is a good place to start.

Also remember that Joe began by just smiling and greeting people, and being an example of the way that God wants us to be, which is another example of where to start, for if people see anger on your face, they will want to avoid you.

When on a college campus, always try to first find some animal rights students, and start working with them and spread your message from there, and their group can legally invite you to join them.

Smile and greet people who are just sitting or standing  around and try to engage them in conversation, starting with why you feel the way you do, and by asking them if they have similar feelings.

Most often we have seen them respond, which is what you want, and they will remember what you say, even if they outwardly disagree with you.

Try a T-shirt sometime and see how people react, when you smile at them and say hello. Sometimes they'll be the ones to begin talking about your message. However, don't get discouraged if you get a negative remark, because they had to have read it to react to it.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
