War: Can it be Justified?
Comments by Frank and Mary Hoffman - 1 Feb 2008

Dear Steve:

All I (Frank) can say is that the words of their song did inspire me spiritually to write that sermon. Truth is truth no matter where it comes from, and we need to see it in that context.

We agree with you fully about seeing the glory of God in every aspect of His creation. That is one or the reasons that we live in the woods on a lake.

You may find it interesting that several years ago we met Kenneth Schei a retired airline pilot from CA, who wrote a book entitled An Atheist for Jesus (He sent us a copy), which is very interesting, and expresses both his turnoff of religion and his love for Jesus' teachings. And, wasn't it Gandhi that said, "If it wasn't for Christians, I might have become one"? We need to love people into the kingdom, no matter who they are, or where they come from.

This is all part of being peacemaking children of God, and ending the problems that lead to war.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
