Dear Friend,
Here’s some big news from Down Under! A new poll commissioned by GREY2K USA Worldwide shows that 64% of Queenslanders support an end to dog racing. Our statewide survey was conducted by top polling company, DemosAU. Read the survey results.
This information comes as a new mega venue called the Q has been labeled a deathtrap. With promises to offer the ‘safest' dog racing in the world, track owners used A$44 mil in taxpayer money to create a facility where dogs were injured and died even before it opened!
Here are the key findings from our survey:
Even more, our poll shows that voters care about the humane problems associated with dog racing. 67% of voters are concerned that greyhounds sustain injuries and deaths on the track, and 71% of voters are more opposed to dog racing after learning greyhounds were relinquished for experimentation or disposed of by the industry. The public considers it unacceptable that kennel operators resist breeding caps while the number of greyhounds bred overwhelms the number of available homes.
Listen to my radio interview on ABC Brisbane beginning at 2:09:19.
It is no surprise that Queenslanders agree with people all over the world who care about dogs! No matter where greyhound racing exists, the global community will not condone an economy that is based on cruelty. The Queensland Parliament now has a choice: spare dogs from cruelty and death or keep propping up a disgraced and outdated form of gambling.

Greyhound racing is the global animal welfare issue of our time. As countries such as Scotland, Wales and soon New Zealand say no to dog racing, and federal legislation is now advancing in the USA, it is time for Queensland to meet the moment and do right by these sweet, gentle dogs.
The trend is with the greyhounds! Please follow us on Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn for updates on this fast-moving campaign and for the results of next month’s vote in Tasmania to outlaw dog racing in Australia’s island state.
For the dogs,
