Pastor Frank Discusses How Empathy Saves Animals
Today Vegan Pastor Frank explains how having empathy saves animals. Empathy is our ability to feel how others feel. For example, when a fish is ripped from the water by a hook and line, we are able to understand their pain and their suffering. We can put on their fins and understand that as soon as the hook catches their mouth, they writhe in pain and try to break free. When they are pulled on to shore and out of water, we can feel their inability to breathe. It is with this understanding of animals’ innate ability to feel pain that we begin to realize they don’t want to experience suffering, just as much as we don’t. It’s in their best interest, as it is in ours, to live a life free of pain, suffering, and death. So how does the ability to empathize save the animals? Watch to learn more…
