God created us with free-will and abiding love - Our free-will is what causes evil – not God! So many humans are attracted to violence and do not have empathy, but when we have empathy, we can feel the pain and suffering of creatures, other humans, and the planet. The truth is that we treat the animals in accordance with what we are cultivating within our own hearts and souls. We must cultivate compassion and loving-kindness within each of us.
