From the very beginning, we were entrusted with the responsibility to care for the earth, protect its creatures, and live as stewards rather than destroyers. Yet it seems we have only departed from God’s ideals. Rather than asking why evil exists, we should consider what roles we are playing. How often do we remain silent in the face of injustice? How often do we allow the values of the world to influence the way we think, speak, and act?
