A Mary T. Hoffman Commentary from

"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

John McDougall, M.D. – 30 June 2006
By Mary T. Hoffman

Anyone who doesn’t have an email subscription to Dr. McDougall’s newsletter is missing excellent advice on health that is based on proven science (and I don’t mean junk science!). For years we’ve trusted this doctor who has not sold out to the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. It’s refreshing to find a medical doctor who does not promote fads or magic bullets, but tells the truth about disease prevention based on solid proof.

I know that his advice on finding a good doctor, and on what to say when visiting a doctor in his office, can make a big difference in one’s health and in the health of those one cares for. I only wish that I had known these things long ago – but as they say, better late than never.

With an email subscription to Dr. McDougall’s newsletter, we can also access Dr. McDougall’s list of subjects covered in past newsletters. This puts valuable health information at our fingertips.
