"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Chimpanzees – 6 November 2006
By Mary T. Hoffman

Last night we watched “Chimpanzees: An Unnatural History” on the series “Nature” shown on PBS (public television). We were fascinated and deeply moved by this excellent presentation.

If you watched this program, email your thanks to the TV channel that aired it and to “Nature” (see below for link). You can ask that it be aired again, if it has not already been scheduled for a repeat airing. If you missed it, or if it hasn’t been shown in your area yet, please find out when you can see it. You’ll be glad you did!

Here is a very short description from the program listings:

“Chimpanzees: An Unnatural History”

“Thousands of our closest living relatives have lived among us for well over a century, mostly in solitary confinement. Today, a few dedicated individuals are working hard to give these long-suffering creatures the freedom and sanctuary they so richly deserve.”
