"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful. At the same
time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel
called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
Over the years I’ve accumulated a collection of Christmas or winter-related music on tapes and CDs; included are a wide variety: popular, classical, Middles Ages, Renaissance, Early American, single vocal, choir, music box, etc.
It is early morning as I write this. The temperature has been in the low 40’s F. and there hasn’t been any snowfall as yet this season. There is no fog here this morning as there was yesterday in the A.M.
As soon as I finish this Blog, I’m going into the kitchen, put on some seasonal music, and start making our large tossed salad to be eaten later. Then I’ll put a variety of veggies into the Vita-Mix blender for our veggie smoothie (vegan, of course) that we’ll enjoy while we have fun playing the word game Boggle.
For this morning’s smoothie I’ll probably use one or two apples, carrots, onion, parsley, broccoli, collard greens (frozen), ginger, four tablespoons frozen flaxseed, and a touch of stevia to sweeten.
