"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Animal Abuse to Human Abuse – 4 March 2007
By Mary T. Hoffman

I guess chickens aren’t the only creatures that Tyson and other factory farm businesses don’t care about. Tyson’s recent TV commercial shows that they haven’t much regard for humans, either.

I’m writing about the ad in which a father is playing hide and seek with his children in their home. He finds his daughter under the seat cushions of their sofa, but can’t find his son and even walks under him. The little boy has wedged himself between the walls of their hallway and has apparently climbed up to the ceiling to hide from his father. This is supposed to be a “cute” prank apparently meant to show that eating Tyson’s processed products will give your kids lots of energy.

Well, what it does show is that some children seeing this commercial will try this stunt which is an open invitation to physical injury. In my opinion, this is a very irresponsible advertisement.
