"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

By Mary T. Hoffman

We’ve all heard the old saying that “early to bed and early to rise makes you healthy, wealthy, and wise.” Well, there’s another benefit to getting up early in the morning – possibly getting to see a beautiful sunrise.

After a few days of dark and cloudy skies that dumped a total of 15 inches of snow here, we had a colorful sunrise, followed by a bright, crisp wintry day (23 degrees F.), a mostly clear blue sky with a stray high white cloud here and there, and a breathtakingly beautiful sunset in late afternoon.
