If you haven’t read Minds of Their Own: Animals Are Smarter Than You Think by Virginia Morell, author of the feature article in the March 2008 National Geographic magazine, do yourself a favor and read it. You’ll be glad you did! This is definitely a “must read”!

After reading Virginia Morrell’s fascinating article (complete with photos) in the current issue of National Geographic, I am convinced that, when it comes to discovering the abilities and intelligence of our fellow creatures, humans are just scratching the surface. It’s about time that people stop giving in to their insecurity or whatever it is that motivates their resistance to admitting that other animals have remarkable abilities and intelligence.
