"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

 


Beethoven’s Minuet in G – 28 June 2008

While listening to the classical music radio station this morning, I heard Beethoven’s Minuet in G played on the violin with a piano accompaniment. It’s been a while since I heard this piece, and it brought back memories of my girlhood days when I was taking violin lessons. I still have all of my old sheet music and music books, including the “Standard Violin Pieces” that contains Beethoven’s Minuet in G that I always enjoyed playing. Today I think I’ll get my violin out of its case, tune it up, and play this and perhaps a few other tunes!
