"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful. At the same
time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel
called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
For today I’ve chosen this poem that I found in an old book of poetry:
We learned the whole of love,
The alphabet, the words,
A chapter, then the mighty book –
Then revelation closed.
But in each other’s eyes
An ignorance beheld
Diviner than the childhood’s,
And each to each a child
Attempted to expound
What neither understood.
Alas, that wisdom is so large
And truth so manifold!
