"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful. At the same
time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel
called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
For today I’ve chosen this poem by the American poet Emily Dickinson:
The life we have is very great;
The life that we shall see
Surpasses it we know because
It is infinity.
But when all space has been beheld
And all dominion shown,
The smallest human heart’s extent
Reduces it to none.
