"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

“Health” Care and Medical Scams – 17 January 2009
By Mary T. Hoffman

Every day you read and hear complaints about the high cost of “health” care, et cetera. Yet most people don’t want to make simple lifestyle changes that would dramatically improve their health and save them an enormous amount of money. They are their own worst enemies, and they choose to listen to doctors who exploit them with surgeries and pharmaceuticals that, in most cases, would be totally unnecessary if they would only follow the advice of the few honest doctors and people who are living proof of the benefits of a vegan lifestyle.

You keep hearing about, and seeing proof of, the “obesity epidemic” while the companies offering “magic bullets” for weight loss rake in the money from the public who want to be fooled. And of course there are the ubiquitous fast food companies and their flood of commercials deliberately appealing to the very folks who are the most vulnerable to such “bait.”
