Letter from Nicole Concerning Our Web Site Ministry, Love of Animals, and Becoming Vegan - 7 Jan 2005 - Part 2

Hello Frank and Mary,

Thank you so much for your quick response.

I was really crying when I saw some of the photos from your website because animals have not done anything to deserve the cruelty from humans. I then felt anger, and I decided to let it out by hitting my pillow. I care so much about animals, and I believe they are such miraculous creatures of this earth.

I am very, very motivated to become vegan now, and I can feel your support. I truly appreciate it. I am trying now. I especially want to give up dairy. I think about the cows who are staying pregnant to milk, and the pain and small living quarters they have to endure. It is hard, not because I feel I am going to miss it, but I have become so in the habit of buying dairy products.

Thank you again so much!

Dear Nicole:

Thank you for writing back.

Something that might help you in your transition to a vegan lifestyle: Our taste buds and mental desire for certain foods is a "trained response." After about three weeks of eating other foods that you also enjoy, the previous desires will fade away.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
