Letter from Jimmy Lin Regarding Chickens - 27 Sep 2005

I had no idea chickens lived under such extreme conditions. I can only imagine, maybe going to the slaughterhouse would be the best way to end a life of pain. The pictures really disgusted me and I'll really think twice now before I eat meats.

I felt bad for the chicken the most because unlike the pig, cow, and turkeys, chicken is actually the most preferred meat by most people and their eggs. I am not saying I don't feel for pigs and cows. 1/3 of the world who believes in Muslim religion would not go near a pig not much to say eat one. Cows on the other hand.. I am not sure.. beef is pretty expensive and some don't like the taste (steak taste like blood to me).

Still, a chicken's life isn't much different then a cows' or a pigs', although I think chickens get slaughtered more then any other farm animal.

I agree with you this is an act of the devil of what we are doing. I wouldn't blame the butchers for this like you would though, their just doing their jobs. I can only hope the most, of them can actually sleep at night. It's the demand for cheap meat that drives death. You know that saying? "Everyone wants to eat steak but nobody wants to date the butcher". So true we only think in terms of wishful thinking for these animals.

I hope to become a researcher 1 day and find alterative means. I am not a vegetarian but I gave up on chicken meat a long time ago.

It is after I found your site that I start thinking differently. Thank you very much for all the information you provided.

I'll fight for the animals :)

Jimmy Lin
