Letter from Ron Sanford about Repairing the Prison Chapel - 31 Jan 2007

Dear Phyllis:

I am a part of the Less Than the Least Prison Ministry from Sagemont Church in Houston, Texas. We minister in the Ferguson Prison located near Midway, Texas. Several years ago, the chapel was found to be unsafe and was closed. Worship services are now held in a separate area where there are many distractions. There is no money available through the Texas Department of Corrections to repair this worship facility. We have received a copy of the blueprints of the building and have received permission to renovate this chapel if we can raise the money. We have the volunteer labor in place and need only the funding to complete this project.

My question to you is, how do we go about raising money from the various foundations that could possibly help us in this endeavor? Any information that you have concerning this would certainly be appreciated.

Prayerfully yours,

Ron Sanford
