Letter from Jenny Moxham to "The Age" about Dog Meat - A Taste of Cruelty - 2 Jun 2007
The Age, 2 June 2007
Taste of cruelty
SO WALTER Uhlenbruch has eaten dog meat in Korea and China, and thinks it "very tasty" (Letters, 1/6). In Korea, dogs for eating may be electrocuted, have their fur burnt off with blowtorches, be slowly hanged or strung up by the neck and beaten to death. Many dogs await this nightmarish fate on farms and in markets in crowded cages and go without food or water for days. Anyone who eats dog meat in Asia participates in this cruelty.
