Letter from Fiona about Cruelty in Egg Production

Dear Sir/Madame,

I recently found your site through Google, and from here I read the full section on 'Egg Production.' I found it very emotional and touching. I couldn't believe how extreme it actually is, and I'm now embarrassed to call myself a human being...........

I'm 38 years old and attend Newcastle College in the North East of England where I am currently working on an exam question (Graphic Design, at A2 level) that I chose to do. It's about promoting free-range eggs. However I felt that the question missed out the importance of how evil caged hen farmers can actually be. To do this, I have to think of a catchy memorable thing. This can be anything from posters, to leaflets to egg sleeve boxes. I was therefore wondering if you had ANY material I could use in my portfolio to support my work. Also, would I please be able to include some of photographs? I only say this because it would be impossible for me to be allowed to take photographs of hens in a caged environment.

If you could reply as soon as possible, that would be awesome! Thank-you ever so much for reading this e-mail.

Yours sincerely,
Fiona

Dear Fiona:

Thank you very much for writing and we wish you the best in your studies.

Actually, free range isn't a whole lot better than battery operations, other than the cages. The male chicks are still killed, they still don't get any medical care, and the spent hens are still sent to slaughter.

Our suggestion would be to do posters that would show the horrors of all animal exploitation and encourage people to switch to a plant food diet (vegan). And please feel free to use anything on our web site to help with your college work.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
