Ironic feast to honour the Prince of Peace
How bizarre that most people celebrate the birth of the “Prince of Peace” by feasting on the corpse of a violently-slaughtered, peaceful bird. (Big bird for Tamworth tables this Christmas, December 18.)
Why do so many Christians – and others – fail to see the inconsistency in this?
Surely this season of “peace and goodwill” is the one time of the year when we should be treating our fellow beings with kindness and compassion and serving cruelty-free festive fare only?
