A Letter From Robert Concerning Foie Gras - 3 March 2002

Dear Sir or Madam,
I'm just going to say one or two things about this whole situation. One Foie Gras is really tasty liver, nothing compares. Two, you have to remember everything from ducks, geese, cows, deer, quail, and chickens are all living things along with broccoli, asparagus, corn, carrots, onions, celery, and lettuce. Until any of these living things can speak I think we should keep eating all of these things and all the others not mentioned until they all can talk back.
                                                                        I await your rebuttle.
                                                                                      Robert

p.s. I'd really like to see your point of view on this whole situation. I think it will be enlightening for the both of us!

Reply from Frank L. Hoffman - 3 March 2002:

Dear Robert:

We're saddened by the comparison you use to justify the torture and suffering inflicted upon animals for the sake of your appetite.   We can't believe that you are unaware that animals do "speak out" when they are in pain or afraid, unlike plants which don't feel pain or have emotions.

Foie Gras is made from the diseased liver of a duck or goose that we humans produced through four weeks of continual torture.  How can you justify such inhumanity?

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank
