RE: February 2002 issue: Russian baboon stress study.

Dear Mr. McAlvany:

As born again believers in the Lord Jesus Christ we were "stressed" by your description of the above-referenced study. Even more disturbing was the fact that there was no attached disclaimer expressing remorse for such subsidized sadistic perversions that are passed off as "scientific research".

We believe that citing such studies glorifies and perpetuates evil. Clearly, this is ungodly behavior, the opposite of what God expects from his children, as mentioned in Romans 8:19-21:

19 The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
(from New International Version)

By the way, we are business executives who have a science background. Before accepting the Lord as personal Savior, Mary participated in medical research utilizing animals and witnessed horrific, unnecessary cruelty.

We look forward to your reply.

In Christ,
