1 Timothy 6:12 ESV

12. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

There is a fight that goes on in our walk of faith.  It is a fight that requires perseverance and tenacity.

To move forward in this uncompromising lifestyle one can become very exhausted.  It involves a continual barrage of attacks from the enemy, seasons of waiting and wondering, and pressure from people and situations around us.

Strong faith is built on the many trials we go through as our weaknesses transform into strength.

As spiritual beings, we were called to the eternal life.  We are created as citizens of The Kingdom of heaven.

Many Christians are devoid of the understanding that although we live in the flesh, God created us to walk in the Spirit.

Galatians 5:16 New International Version

16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh

Carnal believers live in the here and now and their faith is in what they see, hear and feel.   We are called to live as sojourners in the world with our focus on Christ as we fulfill our mission in the earth.

We are instructed to hold on to the reality of what is true: our eternal existence.

Our confession is Jesus Christ and what He did for us.  Through His sacrifice on the cross there was opened to us life everlasting    His power flows through our spiritual veins and we are the anointed of the Lord.  A people dedicated to one purpose: To serve and glorify our Lord and Savior.

We are resilient because we are eternal and our death on earth is our transition into the Kingdom of God.

Challenge: Galatians 5:16 NIV

16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh we must pursue a spiritual life.

Ask God what you need in this season of your life to grow in your spiritual walk.

God bless,

Marni

lamb-rightThe purpose of this series is to encourage people to live as loving, compassionate, and peacemaking children of God: Jesus tells us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) God tells us through Micah (6:8), "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God." And we know from Revelation 21:4 that there will be no more mourning, or crying, or pain, or death. Thus, Christian living requires us to set the standards of these conditions here on earth for our fellow human beings, and for the other animals, as a witness to the rest of the world. To do otherwise is not Christian.
