Hang On!
Food for Thought
An all-creatures.org Guide to Kingdom Living

by Joyce C. Lock

God is love and He dwells within you.  When you truly love, it is God loving through you.  Therefore, it is never wrong to love.

Love means you love enough to do whatever is in other's best interest ... meeting the needs of their heart.  Sometimes that is easy and wonderful.  Other times, it is very hard and painful.  But, love never fails.  It will always accomplish the purpose in which God gave it.

In any area of service wherein God calls you to love, it is a heartache and longing within.  When doors are closed, you may learn to be content - but your soul will never otherwise be complete.  As it is God who lives within you, it is God who prompts your heart to love.

Additionally, if your heart condemns you not - you have confidence toward God.

But, if man condemns you for following God (Jb.40:8, Ro.10:3, Ph.3,9-10), holding you spiritually captive, hang on.  Joy comes in the morning.  I Pe.4:13

lamb-rightThe purpose of this series is to encourage people to live as loving, compassionate, and peacemaking children of God: Jesus tells us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) God tells us through Micah (6:8), "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God." And we know from Revelation 21:4 that there will be no more mourning, or crying, or pain, or death. Thus, Christian living requires us to set the standards of these conditions here on earth for our fellow human beings, and for the other animals, as a witness to the rest of the world. To do otherwise is not Christian.
