Many people are quoting scripture as if it were to be used as a weapon to make their point. This is wrong and does not honor God or His word.  The border wall and immigration is a hot topic and causing much division.  But it doesn't have to be that way if we look at the ways of God.  The side that God is on is His own side of righteousness.  

Leviticus 19:33-34 New International Version 

33. “‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them.

34. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.

God tells us to make sure we are kind and merciful and to make sure justice is done regarding foreigners.  But note how specific God is as to which foreigners He is referring to.   He is referring to those who are living in the community. For us it would be the immigrants who are already in America. For decades America has given all to welcome legal migrations. Those who come legally become American citizens and assimilate into the culture so that we live peaceably in our neighborhoods. 

This does not mean their beliefs are taken away. It means all obey the law of the land.  There are immigrants in the U.S. who have outwardly spoken against assimilation, therefore what takes place is offense, hostility and sometimes a dangerous situation that could breed violence.  Different rules and laws for each culture that comes in will not work for any society. There must be laws that are obeyed by every citizen in that country or the country will be in chaos.  Look at the riots America has seen because of law breakers.   

We have given food, water to those who have come legally and illegally.  But God never says let them break your laws or take advantage of your system.  Taking benefits from our welfare system is not legal and at  tax payers expense.

God did not tell us to welcome illegal or harmful behavior.  It is ignorant to promote illegal immigration, because not only is it against God's direction toward peace, but it opens us up to Satans plan.

These are the kinds of peope Satan will bring in if we are blind to our own way.

God says be wise Proverbs 4:6-8 (ICB) 

6 Use wisdom, and it will take care of you.  Love wisdom, and it will keep you safe. 

7 Wisdom is the most important thing. So get wisdom. If it costs everything you have, get understanding.

8. Believe in the value of wisdom, and it will make you great. 

Use it, and it will bring honor to you There is wisdom in waiting on the Lord; there is wisdom in having laws and rules that keeps everyone safe. 

To allow anyone to walk into your home because you want to be kind is unwise.  The same is with the border crossing. The difference is you can immediately see an intruder coming your front door, but you cannot see an intruder coming in the thick of night, until it's too late. Does anyone know who the criminal is and who is the responsible illegal immigrant?  Those who follow the law of the land and do not rush our borders, attack our border patrol with rocks,or knowingly come in illegally, are those who most likely will follow our laws and rules. we can live in peace. 

God gave us the ten commandments and gave the Israelite's and Christians many rules and laws because it is important that we are led in the ways of God.  

God tells us about our authority.  He says Romans 13:1-2 (EHV)

1. Everyone must submit to the governing authorities. For no authority exists except by God, and the authorities that do exist have been established by God.

2. Therefore the one who rebels against the authority is opposing God’s institution, and those who oppose will bring judgment on themselves.

God's word says 1 Corinthians 14:40  (ESV) 

40. But all things should be done decently and in order.   

In the case of immigration what is "decent and in order"?..... it is to exercise caution and wisdom when allowing people into our country.  The world has changed and the crimes are more violent and extreme.  There are thousands of good, honest and hard working people coming into our borders, but it only takes one drug dealer, terrorist, rapist or murderer, that can change our secure world into terror.   

Matthew 25:35 ESV) 

35. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,   

This verse is absolutely true and the people whom we need to do this for have been here all along. They are already here, on the streets of our cities. They are American veterans, American homeowners who lost their jobs and their homes and who had to give up their dogs or cats who are precious family members,  they are drug addicts unable to get out of the web of drugs, they are our kids who left homes because they were being abused and now pimps are calling to them.  These people are right under our noses.   Are they being fed, given water? Are they loved and welcomed into the communities.  No they are not.  Money is thrown at the homeless situation by our politicians without any long term plan for a better life.

Money does not clean up the mess these people find themselves in. Money will not be enough, because it does not change their situation.  It does not address their persistent homelessness.  That is cruelty in itself.  To bring more people into a country that has not taken care of its own citizens only adds to the already existing problem.  When we are not taking care of the ones who live here already and needing help now, but fight and protest to bring more people in who left homes they already had to come to America, is like having children who were sick or had many issues and more children were adopted into the home.  These people would not take the risk of walking a long a dangerous journey with children if they were not encouraged to do so illegally. 

We have a process for a reason and that process works when it is obeyed.  Many churches and other organizations sneak illegal immigrants in and then set them free into our communities without knowing who they are.  Our Criminal rate is already at maximum and to bring more people in without knowing which are criminals in the group is wrong and sets up potential attacks on Americans.   If we have so many American criminals here already, why would we want more here?  Not only are the churches and organizations breaking God's command of obeying our authority, which is President Trump, then there will be chaos and Satan will come in through that disobedience and that chaos.  God gave us a command regarding who is in the governing authority and that was to pray for our president.

1 Timothy 2:1-3 New International Version 

1. I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—

2. for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

3. This is good, and pleases God our Savior,

To do the right thing is to obey the governing authority and to obey the law of the land.   If we are rebellious about this, God calls that witchcraft 1 Samuel 15:23 (NLT)  Rebellion is as sinful as witchcraft, and stubbornness as bad as worshiping idols.

To be wise is to always seek truth.  resident Trump has often said, he wants immigrants to move here, but move here legally.
