Monarch Butterfly (Danaus plexippus) - 04
(Monarch Butterfly (Danaus plexippus) - 04) A monarch butterfly may lay as many as several hundred eggs on milkweed plants, but usually only one egg on each plant.  In normal summer weather, the eggs hatch in about 4 days, and the larva eat almost continuously for a week and a half to two weeks, shedding its skin ever two to three days.  The larva then enters the pupa stage for a similar period of time, after which he or she emerges as an adult.  These are some of the things we believe Paul was thinking about when he wrote that we are without excuse if we don't recognize the presence of God in His creation (Romans 1:20).

lamb-right lamb-left Presented here are just a few of the countless components of God's creation.  Just as we cannot have human and animal life without water and plants, neither can we have lasting peace without love and compassion.  It is our hope and prayer that this series will motivate people to live and act in a cruelty-free manner; that we would no longer hurt or destroy each other, the animals or our environment.
