Teasel, Purple (Dipsacus sylvestris) - 02
(Teasel, Purple (Dipsacus sylvestris) - 02) The spines of the teasel grow between each of the individual flowers that make up the head of the teasel.  This is easier to see on the top of this teasel head where the flowers are still in their bud stage.  Thorns can also be seen on the lower portion of the sepal (the thin green leaf-like structure extending upward from the base of the flowering head).

lamb-right lamb-left Presented here are just a few of the countless components of God's creation.  Just as we cannot have human and animal life without water and plants, neither can we have lasting peace without love and compassion.  It is our hope and prayer that this series will motivate people to live and act in a cruelty-free manner; that we would no longer hurt or destroy each other, the animals or our environment.
