Free them from the blight and chains of the blind
Robbing the earth of wisdom, wonder, and song!
Even the bee with storehouse tessellate
Eyes with disdain the forfeitures of mind.
Tell the cow, the whale, the buffalo, the hen
How courtly men are, how rational, how good!
Every heart that beats within that noble brood
Abiding its bonds would laugh until tears flowed!
Nor would many a dog gainsay its enthymeme.
If those who know how to live in harmony,
Mired in fear may melt a Satanic lord
Always set on counterfeiting right with might,
Let us cease from their flesh (for flesh is the germ of wars),
Storm those factories, smash the prison bars!
