On A Cold Winters Night
By Paul Moxham
An Animal Rights Poem from All-Creatures.org

All of God's creatures have rights, a fact that most people don't seem to recognize. This includes both human and non-human animals, but not all of them can speak for themselves.

On A Cold Winters Night
By Paul Moxham

The cows in the meadow
Are standing in snow
No shelter for them
From the cold icy flow

The farmers in houses
Know not what’s outside
No cold do they feel
All snuggled inside

The horse in the barn
Is shaking from fear
From clanging of doors
But no one is near

The children inside
No wind do they fear
In their cosy warm blankets
Not a cry do they hear
