Poetry and Music By Andrew Pell
God gave us everything, yet we always want more
God gave us everything, yet we always want more.
Human beings can be selfish and insular.
This doesn't get us very far.
A loving Father gave us all we needed to be happy.
Yet we always wanted more.
It is like we are still in nappies.
Stop for a moment and look at Gods wonderful gifts he has given us.
Always without fuss.
But as Humans we scorned God, because we wanted more.
Yet he gave us everything before.
God must be hurt that we treat him this way.
If only we listened to what he had to say.
Realise that God has given us everything.
We do not need more, because we have it all.
