Reflections in the Park

As I was walking through the Park,
In the sky there was circling a beautiful lark.
Its acrobatic skills were second to none.
The lark seemed intently happy, having lots of fun.

I wandered further down the path.
Other birds were drinking from the park birdbath.
I ventured to the edge of a crystal clear pond.
I knew that in this time and place I did truly belong.

For a brief moment in time, the park and I were one.
I knew I could stay till day is done.
Thoughts past and present flooded through my mind.
Such tranquility do you rarely find.

The flowers along the path smiled and greeted me.
My mind was fresh, I could see so clearly.
The hanging leaves waved to me farewell as I passed by.
My heart energized, I wanted to fly.

Outside the gates, reality set in.
Look closely at all the wonders nature can bring.
Relaxed and full of peace,
Vigor and clarity can only increase.
