The Gift of a New Day
Poetry and Music By Andrew Pell
Sometimes things don't go our way,
and the sky seems bleak and grey.
We long four our Camelot.
The good times we have forgot.
The darkness seems all encompassing.
The inactivity is immobilising.
Stop! Think of the joy that each day can give.
It is time to start afresh and live.
Think of dear friends who give us their warm smile.
These people you can count on to walk that extra mile.
A new day brings new opportunities.
A new day can set us free.
If we look again the grey skies will be blue again.
Life each day is never the same.
Accept and embrace each and every day.
The good times are never really far away.
