The Reality of Peace
Poetry and Music By Andrew Pell

Is there such a thing as a reality of peace?
Will there ever be a day when warring conflicts will cease?
What are the chances for the reality of peace?
When will individuals and nations experience great release?
It can happen at great personal cost.
But do not worry because all is not lost.
We all must take a step backward and retreat from negativity.
Then move forward in harmony and positive creativity.
Anger feeds on anger and greed feeds upon greed.
Yet with all of this, there is no need.
All we need to do is sow the seed of friendship.
Encourage and initiate the experience of comradeship.
This is a much better way of living.
It can only begin with forgiveness and loving.
Forgiveness is the high cost we need to pay.
It now has become urgent, so please don’t delay.
The high cost of love is the reality of peace.
