Unconditional Love and Compassion for All
Poetry and Music By Andrew Pell
(Based in a Sermon by Father James Butt)
This is the basic tenant for a multitude of major faiths.
It can bring light in our lives and make us feel very safe.
How many of us practice this requirement?
It requires steadfast prayer and discernment.
Unconditional love is what Christ demands of all of us.
We should give love without preconditions or fuss.
Stretch forth your hand to a stranger in need.
Give a hungry person his daily feed.
Forget our wants or temptations of greed.
Unconditional love for all should be our creed.
Christ said “What you do to the least of my brethren,
You do for me”.
It is when we embrace these words we can clearly see.
Unconditional love and compassion can set us free.
Imagine a world where daily we all showed love.
The sun would shine forever from God above.
