Tony was 17 years old when he came to Luvin Arms, and he was exceptionally strong to survive having lived alone for 16 months on abandoned property. Despite spending so much time alone previously, Tony grew to trust and love his caregivers and many volunteers.
Tony the Llama, Sentinel of Luvinarms, is now in charge of watching over all
of our residents who have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Tony was such a
joy to be around and such an important part of the Luvin Arms family. He was
dignified, independent and kind. He watched over everyone from his pasture,
and loved rolling around and sunbathing.
We are so grateful for the past 3 years we were able to spend with Tony. He
was found abandoned on a property where he had been living alone for sixteen
months. Tony was 17 years old when he came to Luvin Arms, and he was
exceptionally strong to survive living alone for that long.
Despite spending so much time alone previously, Tony grew to trust and love
his caregivers and many volunteers. Thank you all for your kind words and
support during this time. Luvin Arms won’t ever be quite the same without
seeing Tony laying in his pasture gazing out at the mountains. He will truly
be missed.
While we wish we could invite our entire community to celebrate Tony’s life
with us at the sanctuary physically, this will not be possible. To provide a
way for everyone who loved and cherished Tony with us to celebrate his life,
we have decided to host a small event at the sanctuary, that will be
streamed via Zoom. The sunset service will take place October 17, 2020 at
5:30 pm Mountain Time.
You can celebrate Tony’s life by donating to our new memorial garden fund
which will honor Tony and all our residents’ lives as they move on to their
next great adventure. You are welcome to donate here, in Tony’s memory. We
are also in the process of designing a shirt in honor of Tony, which will
incorporate his love of the mountains and will be available in our online
store soon.
The most significant way you can honor Tony and his legacy is to incorporate
Ahimsa, peace to all living beings through compassionate choices, into your
life. You can help us create a more compassionate world for beings like Tony
and his family here at Luvin Arms.
