Today, he is an extremely affectionate and outgoing sheep– he’s not very sheepish at all.

Sheep Hoitytotitytot

Count Matthias Hoitytotitytot (Mattie for short) was rescued from becoming someone’s Easter dinner when he was just a few months old. When he arrived, he was suffering from terrible worms, coccidia, and other GI troubles that came from living in a dirty barn.

After several vet visits, medications, and lots of TLC, Mattie made a full recovery. Today, he is an extremely affectionate and outgoing sheep– he’s not very sheepish at all! He is now elderly and has lost most of his sight, but that doesn’t stop him from lolling in the sunshine with his herd, grazing all day in the pasture, and enjoying his favorite foods– fresh parsley, red kale, and green onions.

Mattie would love for you to join his Circle of Compassion. You can join it by sponsoring him with a monthly donation of any amount. To join Mattie’s Circle of Compassion and to help cover the costs of his nutritious food, warm shelter, and medical care, donate at our website: Indraloka Animal Sanctuary.
