Larry Darnell was a dentist with more letters after his name than Kermit the Frog on Sesame Street. He had a thriving business, because he really knew how to handle his customers. He was dishonest to the core, but he was clever. He manipulated his patients with such skill; nothing unethical could ever be traced back to him in a legal way.
Concerning his patients, there were no such thing as a clean bill of health. There was always something that needed work, whether there was or not. He would probe around with sharp instruments until he hit a nerve, which was painful enough that his patients were willing to pay his high prices, until the pain was gone.
He would also drug them, before the examination and would usually get them to sign something while their thinking was impaired.
An unscrupulous lawyer discovered through an interview with one of his clients about Dr. Darnell’s mode of operation and subpoenaed his patient roster, which he used to sue him for millions of dollars in a class action lawsuit. The dentist was ruined and had to close his practice. The lawyer was investigated by the state’s attorney general’s office, tried and put in jail for extorting his clients. The state attorney general was run out of office by a prostitute scandal and that same prostitute, became infected with various types of sexual related diseases and spent the rest of her life in bad health.
The devil had himself a busy day!
