Back in December of 2016, Teddy and Finn arrived at our sanctuary after being rescued from a feedlot. A feedlot is a confined space where animals are crowded together, deprived of their natural behaviors and environment, leading to stress, disease, and suffering. It prioritizes profit over animal welfare. These conditions left Teddy and Finn in a dire state. They were on the brink of death, battling severe pneumonia and coughing up blood.

As we gear up for St. Patrick's Day, I wanted to share an incredible story of luck, resilience, and friendship that embodies the spirit of this festive occasion. It's a tale of two remarkable sheep named Teddy and Finn, residents of Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary, whose journey is nothing short of inspiring.
Back in December of 2016, Teddy and Finn arrived at our sanctuary after
being rescued from a feedlot. A feedlot is a confined space where animals
are crowded together, deprived of their natural behaviors and environment,
leading to stress, disease, and suffering. It prioritizes profit over animal
welfare. These conditions left Teddy and Finn in a dire state. They were on
the brink of death, battling severe pneumonia and coughing up blood.
For nearly a month, thanks to the support of the veterinary team at CSU and
our care team, Teddy and Finn fought a courageous battle. Miraculously, they
emerged from this ordeal stronger and more resilient than ever before.
In the spring of 2019, Teddy faced another obstacle when he broke his leg. Even in the face of adversity, Teddy's spirit remained indomitable. With the support of our dedicated team and his steadfast companion, Finn, Teddy underwent a life-changing amputation and emerged with a newfound sense of purpose.
Finn, the ever-faithful friend, has been Teddy's constant source of comfort and strength throughout their shared trials. Together, they embody the true meaning of resilience and companionship, reminding us all of the power of friendship in overcoming life's challenges.
Teddy and Finn, both 9 years old, now face the inevitable challenges of arthritis and aging. With dedicated care from our team, they receive personalized pain management and close monitoring for their comfort and well-being. Despite the growing sheep family at our sanctuary, Teddy and Finn remain inseparable, their bond strong as they stick closely together, a testament to their enduring friendship.
As we celebrate St. Patrick's Day, let's not only revel in the luck of the Irish but also in the extraordinary bond between Teddy and Finn who are so lucky to have each other.
