We have a question regarding why some zoo animals pace constantly in their habitat?

Thanking you in advance for your consideration and reply.
I am sincerely yours,
Helen Rowland

Dear Helen:

Thank you for writing.

The repetitive pacing back and forth is a form of mental illness brought about from being confined against the animals' will and natural, God-given, ways of living. Other animals resort to self mutilation.

This is just one of the reasons that we all have to speak out against all forms of animal exploitation.
