The First Bison Are Killed This Winter by Montana

by [email protected]

It was with great sadness that I received the news that three of my new friends at
Buffalo Nations had been arrested trying to prevent the first bison killings of the
winter by the state of Montana. Peter and Eric and Mike were committed to
saving the lives of buffalo who are being senselessly killed by the Department of
Livestock of Montana.

These buffalo present absolutely no threat to cattle which won't even be brought
into the area to graze until June. This battle is not about protecting cattle from
disease, but about Montana's desire to control the public lands, the lands
administered by the U.S. Forest Service which surround Yellowstone National
Park. It is about placing cattle first and eliminating competing wildlife.

more information.
