The Color Black

In order to try to increase the number of adoptions for black colored dogs
and cats, I am attempting to put together a list of good things about the color
black. Most of you know that black dogs and especially black cats are hard to
place in new homes. So what I am looking for is for everyone to send me
things that are good about the color black. They do not have to be animal
related and I would actually prefer a combination of animal related and just
general things. Example: Black animals are less likely to get skin cancer,
animals with pink noses run a much higher risk. I'm looking for items like that.
Please send me your ideas at Petluv3@aol.com I intend to collect a list of the
best ones and print it on good paper and present it to my local humane society
as well as local animal rescue groups to hang either in the shelter or at adop-
tions. If you wish to do the same for your local shelter/rescue please e-mail
me and I will send you a copy of the completed list for your use. Together I
hope that we can educate the public and move away from the ideas of black
cats and witches and other false statements.
