This group got Greyhound racing
ended forever in their state in 1996.
But at that time they forgot to include simulcast greyhound racing. So
the
simulcast would continue for 4 yrs before they could try to ban it. The
governor
who agreed to outlaw racing is no longer in office & they are dealing
with a
new one. The horse racing folks have introduced bill SB1115 to continue
the
simulcasting. They have worked very hard to stop this bill from passing,
but it
has passed House state affairs. Now it rests with the governor. You are
all
aware the abuse these greyhounds suffer. 30,000 still die each & every
year.
Hundreds are dragged into research labs, their cries unheard. Thousands
more
bred each year to take their place. Please take a moment to email
governor
Kempthorne & ask him to veto this bill. Tell him you will boycott Idaho,
not
purchase Micron products and boycott Idaho potatoes.
The lives of the greyhounds depend on us.
