Pig Sanctuary Grand Opening

The Animal Event of 1999!

Come spend the day with nearly 500 rescued animals as PIGS opens the
gate to a new 54-acre animal rescue and education facility on Saturday,
May 22, 1999. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. and admission is free.

DIRECTIONS:

Baltimore, MD: Follow Interstate 70 West to Frederick, MD then follow
directions from Frederick, below.

Washington, DC: Follow Interstate 270 North to Frederick, MD and follow
directions from Frederick listed below.

Frederick, MD: Follow Route 340 approx. 30 miles. Exit onto Route 9 West
Martinsburg. Follow Route 9 West approx. 10 miles to the traffic light at
the intersection of Route 480. Turn right onto Route 480. Follow Route 480
for 2.5 miles and turn left onto Persimmon Lane. Follow Persimmon Lane for
1.2 miles to the Sanctuary entrance on the right.

Interstate 81: Take Exit 12 Route 9/45 Charles Town/Harpers Ferry. Follow
Route 9 East approx. 10 miles to the traffic light at the intersection of
Route 480. Turn left onto Route 480 and follow for 2.5 miles to Persimmon
Lane. Turn left onto Persimmon Lane and follow for 1.2 miles to the
Sanctuary entrance on the right.

Dulles Airport: Take the Dulles Greenway (Route 267) and exit onto Route 7
West. Follow Route 7 West and exit onto Route 9 West. Follow Route 9 West
to the traffic light at the intersection of Route 480. Turn right onto
Route 480 and follow for 2.5 miles to Persimmon Lane. Turn left onto
Persimmon Lane and follow for 1.2 miles to the Sanctuary entrance on the
right.
