confirm dates, times and venues. When registering for a cooking class,
check that all food prepared will be vegan. Unless otherwise noted, "NYC"
means Manhattan. Events will be added as more information becomes

Wednesday, May 19
Sierra Club NYC Vegetarian Outings Committee dinner at Ghenet Ethiopian
restaurant, 6:30 p.m., 284 Mulberry Street (between Houston and Prince),
NYC.
Cost: $12.95 plus tax/tip (drinks extra).

VegOut vegan potluck, 5 p.m., at the Lesbian and Gay Community Center,
One Little West 12th Street (at Hudson and Gansevoort), NYC. Bring a vegan
dish to share (no meat, poultry, fish, eggs or dairy) and a contribution
between $3 and $5 to help with expenses.

Veggie Singles and Big Apple Vegetarians dance party, 7 p.m. to midnight,
at the Grand Ballroom, 939 Eighth Avenue, Room 207 (between West 55th

Ron Montano.

Sierra Club NYC Vegetarian Outings Committee Memorial Day potluck picnic
in Central Park, 2 p.m.-5 p.m., meeting at Cleopatra's Needle (behind the
Metropolitan Museum), NYC. Bring a vegan dish for 6-8 people or pay $12.
Musical instruments, kids, dogs, games, etc., welcome. Bring your own
utensils and plate to reduce garbage, and bring something to sit on. No
RSVP necessary. Rain or threat of serious rain cancels.
