Howard Lyman's coming to town on Saturday, August 21.
Howard is the 4th-generation farmer-rancher-feedlot operator turned
vegan. He was the impetus for the Texas Cattleman's Association lawsuit
against he & Oprah Winfrey for openly discussing mad-cow disease as a
direct result of the common practice of feeding cows to other cows,
endorsed by the USDA.
Come hear his heartfelt, honest and sometimes humorous
account of the industry's practices and his own life's experiences which
transformed him into one of the most powerful spokespeople for
environmental justice in the nation today. I encourage you learn more
about him by visiting
<http://www.madcowboy.com>.
He will speak at the Baltimore School of Massage, 6401
Dogwood Rd. in Woodlawn, MD (5 minutes from Rt. 695, the Baltimore
beltway). Call Don Robertson, Chairman of EarthSave, at (410) 252-3043
for more information, including the monthly vegan potluck/lecture
series.
Tickets cost $10 for non-members in advance or $12 at
the door. Members save $2 either way. To order tickets, send check or
money order to 517 Talbott Avenue, Lutherville, MD 21093. EarthSave
