Two U.S. Congressmen, Representative Tom Lantos (D-CA) and
Representative Ben Gilman (R-NY), are co-sponsoring a bipartisan sign-on
letter to urge the Postmaster General to issue "STAMP OUT Pet
Overpopulation. Spay or Neuter Your Pet" as a commemorative postal stamp
in the year 2000. The goal is 100 Congressional signatures by JULY 30th;
so far we have 40 (See list below). Call your Representative today and
ask that he or she sign the Gilman-Lantos SPAY/NEUTER stamp sign-on. The
Capitol switchboard is (202) 224-3121. If you're unsure of who your
Representative is, you have only to provide your zipcode to the
switchboard operator.
